The Neos HMR pairs a 3 to 9x range with a 40mm objective. Three power is wide enough for a close shot in timber, nine power is enough to sort out a target across an open field, and the 40mm objective keeps the scope low over the bore.

The BDC250S reticle sits in the second focal plane, so the subtensions hold their apparent size as magnification changes and the aiming point stays easy to read at the bottom of the range.
