About the Crimson Trace Hardline 4-12x40mm
The Hardline line is Crimson Trace's scope family for tactical and target shooters, built to take abuse and to give generous eye relief so you get back on target fast. This 4-12x40mm carries the CT Custom BDC 223/5.56 reticle, with holdovers matched to 223 and 5.56 loads, which makes it a clean fit on a 223 or 5.56 rifle used for the range, varmints or practical matches.
The reticle sits in the second focal plane and is not illuminated. The scope is built on a 1" aerospace aluminum tube, with exposed turrets that adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks for dialing. The lenses are fully multi coated with a green coating, and the tube is nitrogen purged and waterproof. It weighs 16.2 oz and runs about 14.1" long. The 1" tube takes 1" rings.
