About the Griffin Armament Sportsman Ultra
The Sportsman Ultra Light HD .36 is a lightweight hunting can from Griffin Armament. The HD stands for High Durability: the earlier Sportsman cans were aluminum and had to cool after a few shots, while this one is all stainless steel, laser welded without a separate tube and heat treated, so you can zero a rifle without waiting on the can. It weighs 12.2 oz and runs 6.09" long.
The .36 bore is rated for rifle calibers up to 338 Lapua Magnum and pistol calibers up to 9mm. The rear uses the industry standard 1.375x24 HUB thread, so it takes Griffin HUB adapters or other makers' mounts, and it accepts a booster housing to run on 9mm tilt barrel pistols. ECO-FLOW baffles cut gas blowback on gas guns. It is full auto rated and Cerakote finished.
