About the Springfield Armory 2020 Waypoint

The Springfield Armory 2020 WayPoint is a premium American-made bolt action hunting rifle from Springfield Armory's modern precision line, built for hunters and long-range shooters who want a lightweight, weather-resistant field rifle that shoots .308 Win (7.62x51mm NATO) with authority. You'll notice the 20" carbon fiber-wrapped steel barrel with a 1:10 twist and Mil-Spec Green Cerakote delivers crisp, consistent groups while shaving weight for easier glassing and glass-to-shot transitions in the field. The hybrid profile carbon fiber stock in Evergreen camo includes an adjustable cheek comb and M-LOK fore-end for mounting lights, bipods, or accessories without adding bulk, and the stainless receiver finished in matching Cerakote accepts standard Rem 700 pattern Picatinny mounts for optics. A fluted 4140 nitride-treated bolt runs smooth, the TriggerTech adjustable trigger lets you set pull between 2.5—5 lbs to suit hunting or target work, and the SA radial brake tames recoil for quicker follow-up shots. At about 7 lbs and 41.5" OAL with a two-position safety, the WayPoint is aimed at serious hunters and precision shooters who want a rugged, accurate .308 bolt gun.
