About the Yankee Hill Machine Sidewinder
The Sidewinder M2 is Yankee Hill Machine's lightweight, user serviceable pistol can. The monocore baffle and outer tube are hard anodized aluminum, while the piston, Nielsen sleeve and blast baffle are stainless steel. The booster was redesigned around the industry's unofficial standard piston, so pistons from SilencerCo, Rugged and Dead Air interchange with it, and the new rear cap swaps pistons without tools. The included takedown tool pulls the baffle and Nielsen device for cleaning.
This 9mm model mounts with a 1/2-28 RH piston, and the Nielsen device keeps semi auto pistols cycling. Twelve index points let you adjust point of impact without taking the can off the gun. It measures 8.2 inches (8.35 with the piston) on a 1.375 inch tube and weighs 8.8 ounces, 10.2 with the piston. YHM measured 125 dB dry on a Glock 17 with 147 grain FMJ, and it can also run 300 BLK subsonic on barrels of 7.5 inches or longer. It is full auto rated.
